setBaseMapCacheProvider

Registers the MPIMapProviderBaseMapCache that synchronizeBaseMapTiles caches base-map tiles with, and that removeDataSetCache removes them through.

Obtain one from the map adapter in use — MPMapboxBaseMapCacheProvider or MPGoogleBaseMapCacheProvider. A provider is independent of MPMapConfig, MapControl and any map view, so it can be registered before a map exists and stays registered after one is destroyed. Registering it downloads nothing.

Registering replaces any previously registered provider. A base-map caching operation already in flight keeps running against the provider it started with, but stops reporting to its listener and completes with an error — this class cannot cancel a download it did not start, so terminate the replaced provider yourself if you want its work to stop.

Parameters
